[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's easy to empty, but no more so than others. The tools are decent, but the hose could be more flexible and 6" longer. The electrical cord is an acceptable length and the winding harness is well placed and spaced. Other than that, it's frail, poorly built, awkward to use, and has mediocre suction. The foot power button is weird as you have to turn it on by stepping on it and then step on it again to dislodge the head. The head spins even when the vacuum is in the upright position so we have to constantly step on the vacuum cleaner (not good for its lifetime) to toggle it on/off while we move something, etc. Edge suction, which was specifically promoted in advertising, is no better than our old vacuum that has no edge suction and broken hoses. Light objects (pet hair, bits of fluff, etc) are immediately sucked up to the air exhaust, blocking air flow and lowering suction. It lacks features found on other comparably priced vacuums (roller off, headlight, easy to reach buttons, a more ergonomic handle.) Our next vacuum, which will probably be in a year or two, will likely not be a Hoover unless models improve significantly for their price point.

Don't waste your money

I've had the Hoover high performance swivel pet vacuum for just over 3 months and the bracket that holds the adjustable height broke. I repaired it once however whenever I adjust the height or pick the vacuum up the wheel falls out of one side. For the money I spent this was cheaply made

Love the swivel, and suction is good, but the second time I used it the hose came out of the vacuum. Since then everytime I use the vacuum the same thing happens. Then I just have to reattach it all the time. I have a household of cats or I would have returned it but don't feel right doing that when it's had cat hair in it.

Cheaply made, no replacement part available

There's a small plastic tab keeping the lifter on, it broke off after a few months and there is no replacement part available anywhere. The vacuum is now unusable. I will never buy a Hoover again.

Belt breaks very often. Do not buy this model

I have 2 of these and they both constantly break the belts. Belt will last about 3 to 4 vacuums. I believe it's a defective belt problem. I have bought the correct belt 5 or 6 times. 2 pack at a time. At first I just thought it was the vacuum and then I bought another vacuum. Same model because it works good , but the new vacuum breaks the belt just like the other one. So I literally have 2 new vacuums that I'm constantly replacing the belts. I would appreciate it if hoover would do a recall or design a belt that didn't break on this model. I use these in my home. Not commercial jobs. It's ridiculous
