Lightweight but full of power!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off - I was taken off guard by how light the box with the vacuum was when I first picked it up. I've had plenty of vacuums over the years and was used to anything with significant power coming with more bulk. The Hoover Elite is the antithesis to this. Setup was super easy - clicked in the handle, clicked in the hose and was ready to rock. I really liked to longer cord so I could tackle larger rooms without having to move the cord from plug to plug every few feet. Once I started I was in for a treat - the swivel function between the "body" and the "base" is awesome. It makes it extremely easy to move the vacuum around corners, under furniture and into what would normally be tight spots for a vacuum constrained to only going forward and back. The large rear wheels also make the motion smooth over any surface. The vacuum is also very powerful! I was very impressed by how much dust and dirt it picked up - even on areas I had recently vacuumed with another vacuum. The visual collection canister makes it easy to see how much junk was getting sucked up as well as if you accidentally suck up something "not junk" (ie: kid's toys...) in order to fish it out. Emptying the canister couldn't be easier, one button to remove and another to open the lid and dump everything out. There's also several reusable filters that keep the air clean and don't produce waste (make sure to read the instructions regarding drying time after cleaning the filters to avoid getting moisture into the vacuum internals. Overall this is an awesome vacuum and something I'll be looking forward to using for years to come!

I had just bought a shark vacuum 3 weeks before and I did my own test on quality. So I vacuumed with my Shark first while my husband put together the Hoover. ( Super simple in 4 pieces hose, container, handle, and body self explanatory no instructions were even needed everything popped right together. I could have done this myself but I wanted to try it quickly. I was exstatic ) Fyi*The tank was completely clean* I vacuumed over the same exact rug that I had just vacuumed with the Shark just moments before,and when I got done I had a half a container full. I was amazed and angry at the same time. I vacuumed a Total three rooms, after the shark vacuum, to get half a container full! There are many attachments and extensions for upholstery and getting in cracks and crevices. There are also four levels for flooring for high medium low carpet as well as hardwood floors. Hardwood floors I've never been able to vacuum and get clean to my standard there's always blowing around or dog hair and this does not do that there's nothing blowing around whether it's the filters or just the mass amount of suction that the Hoover creates it cleans my hardwood floors it's not necessary for me to use the broom and the vacuum which cuts my cleaning time an hour easy. I'm just completely amazed with this vacuum I'm in love with this vacuum I recommended it to everyone and I would definitely purchase Hoover from now on. I accidentally sucked up a paper towel and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get the vacuum hose unclogged. It was so simple. I am 100% in favor of this vacuum. It has great suction. I am only unhappy that it doesn't have a light. Have been a Hoover fan for years, but this is the best yet.

It worked the first 2 times by the third time. The belt broke so I fixed it and I just stayed using my old vacuum. This one doesn't seem to pick up anything every time I try. I only got a Hoover again. Because I was so happy with my total home and pet vacuum.
