A little heavy, but picks up stuff well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum does well on my thick carpet, and the attachments go on quickly. It is a little on the heavy side and even though it swivels can be a little hard to maneuver. Assembly was really simple, just a couple clicks. If it had a retractable cord I'd give it another star, but at least the part that holds the cord swivels for easy removal.

Super powerful but a few flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer: I received this for free in exchange for an honest review. Pros: This vacuum is almost identical in weight to my Shark upright. The included tools work great and store away nicely. The vacuum is SUPER effective and powerful! It picked up a surprising amount of dog hair that my Shark left behind after just cleaning my carpet. And the collection chamber is simple and quick to empty and replace. Cons: The bristles/roller does not stop rotating when the vacuum is fully upright, or the tools are being used (more on that later). The hose for the tools can stretch far, but is a tight spring type coil. That means the vacuum itself needs to be pinned down to stretch the hose any real distance, or the vacuum will yank itself towards you as you use the tools with the hose. A combination of these two Cons meant that the vacuum ran over its own cord while I tried using the wand a few feet away. The vacuum is so powerful that it had no trouble shredding off the rubber coating of the power cord exposing the wires. If you don't use tools often, or can live with these flaws then this is an excellent vacuum.

It removed very small dirt particles from my carpet and my carpet looks very neat after one trial. This vacuum can be twisted to any direction which I have never seen from my previous experiences. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends!!

It cleans up crumbs and dust particles very neatly. It makes the cleaning job very easy without having to put more effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start off by saying my family is a full household consisting of it's 3 adults, 2kids, a newborn and our pet dog. There's not a day that goes by where there isn't crumbs or dog hair on the carpet. I must say that one of my biggest challenges with vacuuming was having to pass over the same areas multiple times to get up all that dog hair. The vacuum I had been previously been using was not heavy and bulky, it just didn't thoroughly pick up the visible dog hair that was stuck in the carpet. I have been using a dirt devil previously since my dyson broke. So one day, I was annoyed at yet again having spent a good amount of time vacuuming and still not feeling the room was clean. I the. decided to take my new Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum out of the box and give it a try after I had just vacuumed the living room using my dirt devil vacuum. I immediately noticed the Hoover Elite vacuum was not heavy. I was concerned it wouldn't be powerful enough to make a dent in the carpet. I plugged it in, turned it on with the foot pedal and got to work. I must admit the handle on top is comfortable to hold when pushing and pulling, and the swivel action of the bottom made zig-zagging through my room a breeze. Another big bonus I noticed was that while I was vacuuming I didn't experience the smell of dust that I usually encounter. I'm not sure if it was the HEPA filter at work or what, but whatever it is I like it. It just took one trip around the room and it looked and smelled fresher. Then the moment of truth- the canister. It was FILLED with dog hair and fine grey particles, which I can only assume was dust and who knows what else. All the small particles my old vacuum just left being the Hoover Elite Swivel Upright picked up with ease. That was only the first run, subsequent uses continue to impress me. No more dog hair left behind after vacuuming. It's a great vacuum and I'm highly impressed. The only thing that I would suggest is that was there should be an auto cord rewind, but other than that I love the vacuum. I would recommend this vacuum to family and friends. I received this product from bzzagent and this was my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Hoover High Performance Swivel XL vacuum because it's so easy to use and it has great suction. It's light and easy to move around and I love that it can swivel to get under hard to reach areas. The vacuum has great features like powerful WindTunnel technology and Powerflex anti microbial brush roll that makes a huge difference in picking up any tiny crumb and spec off of the floor or carpet. I have little kids, so we spend a lot of time playing on the floor, and this vacuum gives me the peace of mind that our floors are staying clean and safe for them. I love a clean home and I love this powerful vacuum that's making it easy to keep my house always clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the vacuum for a couple of weeks now. It works well on carpet and hardwood floors. The suction is a little weak from time to time on the hardwoods. It picks up pet hair pretty well too. The tools small but get the job done. I like that it is bagless and very easy to empty. Stepping on the front to release it tasks some getting used to. Also, I would prefer if it had a longer cord. I would recommend this to a friend.
