My past 3 sweepers have been Dyson and I think this one is comparable to those. Thank you for the opportunity to test is out, I would recommend it to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vaccum is everything I hoped it would be and more, we have gone through Shark and Dirt Devil but they didn't lift and puffed up the carpet as this one did. It has three levels for the brush, low, medium and high (that's for the carpet) and then the lowest level doesn't roll the brush and that is for the hard floor. The swivel head is amazing, you have so much control of it and it makes it easier to handle, with the long cord you vacuum large areas without unplugging and plugging again as you go, it is a little heavier than what I thought but in all reality my previous one was very light weight. So powerful yet quiet, I thought it was gonna be super loud because it said "Deep Clean" but it's no louder than a regular vacuum. Very surprising. It has different extensions that will make any place or corner easy to clean, specially the one for the crevices, you can clean upholstery & stairs with the tools that include an 8-inch telescopic extension wand, a crevice tool and 2-in-1 upholstery tool with a bristle brush and a felt trim. I am extremely happy with this vacuum and will 100% recommend it to everyone.

I love the accessories it comes with and the easy storage it has for them, very convenient. This vacuum glides and swivels with so much ease it makes vacuuming a breeze. It's easy to clean and it is lightweight. Definitely a great vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to put together out of the box. It took me minutes to put together and then was very easy to use. I used this Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum on my thick carpets as well as on my hard floors. I was very impressed by how lightweight this vacuum is, my kids love it. The swivel action makes it easy to maneuver under and around objects with ease. It has amazing suction and has the detachable wand that I wanted which makes doing edges, furniture, and higher places like around windows a breeze. It sucks all the dirt you can see and much more. It's actually quite powerful for an upright vacuum. I was pleasantly surprised by that cause I've been a Dyson user for many years and my Dyson did not clean that well. I love the 30 ft. cord I was able to clean the entire first floor of my home without having to change the plug, the ease of the foot pedal to start vacuuming. I used the brush attachment on my blinds and was surprised how much dust it collected. The canister was filled almost to the max line after the first use! The Hepa filter is a big plus! My only complaint is the extension hose is too short, the wand has dificulty staying attached. When I tried cleaning the stairs the vacuum would tip over all the time. Besides that I really love this vacuum cleaner.

Broken when arrived but still works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dust bucket lid wasn't secure bc it arrived broken. Despite that we tried the vacuum and it worked really well. I love the Swivel action of it. I wish it had rewind cord holder but I'm ok with old fashion. It cleans really well and is pretty light weight for vacuum.

Hoover vs Shark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently own a Shark Navigator Lift Away, so when I received the Hoover Elite Swivel, I wanted to compare them. The head of the Hoover is wider than that of the Shark. However, the Hoover weighs 1lb less than the Shark coming in at about 15lbs. I decided to vacuum the house to include the couch. I was surprised to see that the Hoover was able to pick up so much after the Shark. Keep in mind, I hold the Shark in high regard so imagine my surprise when the Hoover picked uo the Shark's mess. Overall, I am happy with this product, but it's not perfect. When using the attachment to clean the couch, the Hoover kept tipping over if it was tugged more than a couple of feet. The hose is too short, in my opinion. I would not be able to clean the ceiling without hefting the machine in the air. Also, the machine only came with an upholstery brush. It would be nice to have a pet brush included. To end this review on a good note, the crevice tool was nice and the swivel function of the Hoover made it very easy to use the vacuum, so much so that my 9 year old daughter was able to easily vacuum her room. Would I recommend this vacuum? Unequivocally, yes!!
