I will honestly now vacuum more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a pretty nice vacuum before we got the Hoover High Performance Swivel, but I DO NOT miss the bags that went with our old vacuum. The Performance Swivel was easy to assemble, has a ton of power, and changing/emptying the canister is a breeze. Highly recommend! The only downside I saw was that you have to manually wind up the cord, but definitely not a deal breaker.

One of the best vacs we've owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hoover Elite Swivel is a contender among your everyday vacuums. It has all the bells and whistles you need to completely clean your floors. The swivel action is wonderful, making it easier to maneuver. The long cord means less outlet swapping. The ease of emptying the vacuum is unparalleled - just push a button and POOF, empty collection bin. We vacuumed out carpet with our old vacuum immediately before using this one. After using the Elite Swivel, we were shocked at how much dirt, hair and debris was collected. Almost a full bin! We would highly recommend thus vacuum to anyone looking for a powerful yet lightweight vacuum. It simply gets the job done!!

Great in theory, not in practice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a number of vacuums over the years - both low and high end. When I received the Hoover Elite Swivel Upright, I was excited. It has features that I liked: lightweight, a dirt cup that comes completely apart for easy cleaning, adjustable roller brush, easy store accessories. However, upon use I quickly realized that this was not the vaccum for me. The vacuum suction isn't the worst but it's not great either. I'd expected better from the brand. The hose suction is terrible and only really works with one of the hose attachments. The biggest disappointment was the roller brush which stays on when set for barefloor. In a home like mine with multiple floor types including area rugs, ruggables, carpet, and hardwood - this doesn't work. Especially for retail price, I wouldn't recommend this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exceeded my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Dyson that has lasted for the last 15 years. I have been an advocate and spokesperson for Dyson but Wow does this Hoover make me question that. It is a lot less expensive and it is lighter so my kids can use it a lot easier! It has a ton of suction and easily can clean anywhere. I can't speak to the longevity of it yet but I am excited to find out! We have three large dogs and lots of hair to manage. This vacuum did it like a pro! It worked on carpet, hard wood floors, stairs and our furniture. I think it can handle all your needs!

Nothing sucks like a hoover

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a joke for years.but this vacuum is no joke. It really does suck but in the best way possible. It out preformed my shark vacuum. Love the use of metal in it. Which gives it a great sturdy feel. It's made me want to vacuum more.

Easy to maneuver

I loved the cup vs bag as it was easy to empty and put back together quickly. I felt it cleaned pretty well, I was trying to vacuum pet hair, over all it cleaned pretty well.

Quality vacuum with good suction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vacuum was easy to assemble straight out of the box and I appreciate the extra attachments included. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The vacuum was easy to use and rolled well over our area rugs and hardwood floors. I would say it works as well as our current vacuum that is a similar bag-less setup. We don't have pets and no shoes are worn in the house so we only vacuum once a week. I will be interested to see how long the exhaust filter lasts and what the replacement timeline may be. It was easy to empty the dirt cup and it held plenty for our entire first floor (1500 sq. ft, not all carpet). I received this vacuum to test for free and would consider purchasing if we were in the market for a new one. The swivel head is great for getting under furniture and harder to reach corners.
