Tried contacting them via email and through their phone number with no help. Worked less than a minute of use! Never recommending to anyone!!! On hold 1.5 hours with no help!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Falls apart quick

Machine picks up great but falls apart very easily. Has tons of power to clean up pet hair. I would say the only downfall is when you pull the vacuum on the backward pass the handle falls out about 95% of the time. For the price this isn't worth it. The handle doesn't screw in. Just pops in and out with a metal button. I've only had it three days and am returning it today due to this issue. If Hoover removes the button lock and give you a screw to hold the handle on I would have given this 5 stars. Def needs to be improved in in that sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died after 3 months of use

Received this vacuum for Christmas and used it hard in our house of 4 dogs for 3 months. Then, I went to turn it on a few days ago and it made a strange sound and died entirely. No clogs. Clean and looking great; filter has been cleaned; hit the power button and literally no sound; no clicking; no attempts to revive. I gave it some stars because while it was still alive. It was working great on our dog hair and I was really pleased with the amount of suction. My extremely handy husband is entirely baffled and cannot fix this either.
