Slight letdown from an otherwise good experience we have had with Cuisinart in past... Unit functions, but when plug it in there is a rather loud and audible "hmmm" of electric that was NOT there with the previous (old) Cuisinart electric skillet we had. Disappointing.

I have owned several Electric Skillets in my 62 1/2 years of marriage and I have never owned one that came anywhere close to measuring up to this one. This is not only beautiful, it works like a dream. Most of the time I can clean it with no more than a paper towel (unless it is something really messy.
