I have owned other electric skillets over the years, and I really had high hopes for Cuisinart given it's reputation and the other items of theirs that we own. But this is our 3rd skillet and I'm just not impressed. It doesn't stay at the heat level I choose and I keep having to turn the heat up and up to get it to stay hot. Trying to cook pancakes yesterday morning took forever! Started at 350 and by the time I was done, it was turned up to 450 and still not cooking much at all.

I am not at all satisfied with this frying pan. It does not get hot enough or hold the heat evenly. Food does not brown. I wish I would have returned it. It was also expensive.

When I first purchased the skillet, I was excited because I know the products of Cuisinart. I'm so disappointed. As it happens, today I was frying potato pancakes - I had the temp up to 450 degrees and it took forever to fry up the potatoes. I'm ready to return it!

The thermostat is not accurate at all and its nearly impossible to set it and expect it to cycle on and off within a reasonable temperature range. I would not buy another one of these again and look for another brand. Very disappointed as Cuisinart normally has good products.

Grill area is nice, but surface scratches too easily; even with wood or silicon utensils.
Also, thermostat is not accurate. Set it to a temp, it will get there, click off and not come back on. You need to increase the temp by 100 degrees.

First of all I don’t like the noise it makes when it’s heating up. It also doesn’t seem to keep the temperature steady. I have noticed that I have to increase the temperature because it looks like it turns off. I do like the size and it isn’t heavy to move. I have used an electric frypan for over 55 years. I started out with a Sunbeam and my last one was an All-Cad. An electric frypan is must for me! I wouldn’t buy this one again.
