I bought this skillet really for one reason: to make Paella. We had taken a trip to Madrid and taken a paella cooking class and this is what they used in the class. It has not disappointed. We have made paella a few times since it arrived and we are getting it down to a science.

This is the 2nd skillet I have gotten. This one is a little better, but it still isn't right. There is too much of a drop in temperature during cooking. The heat goes down so much that food actually stops cooking until the heat comes on again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
