Love the even cooking and heat retention. One note on the lid: water will get trapped between the glass and the metal trim/edging. If tbe water is there when you preheat the pan, there will be a poof and a release of steam from the small gap between the glass and metal. Was a bit alarmed when it happened, but i have used it since ( with plenty of time between washing lid and use) and have had no issues. Just demonstrates the physics of what happens to water in a confined space and heat is applied.

This is our second Cuisinart Electric Skillet. We like the first one so much that we wanted to have one at our second home. Easy to use for many meals. It does draw quite a bit of power. When using outside it worked best when plugged directly into an outlet NOT shared with other appliances.

This is my 4th skillet. I use them frequently. This model is good but doesn’t last that long before the coating starts to go. I like the size but wish it were less costly as I have to replace it every few years.

I've only used it once and I was pretty happy with it. I started out with the temp set pretty low to get the feel for the pan. I wound up turning it up to about 400, where I should have started to begin with. It's well made and easy to clean. A big upgrade from the one I used to have. Seems to heat evenly. I would definitely buy again. Pretty much all my countertop appliances are Cuisinart. I'm very please with quality and performance.
