I was very excited to use my new carpet cleaner and 5 minutes in it broke. The brushes stopped turning and both lights are on. Checked for jams, none were found. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this Hoover carpet cleaner about two weeks ago and it is so easy to operate and every rug came out phenomenal. I feel if I use it once every 4 to 6 weeks that my rugs will always feel so clean under my feet and look great. I have a lot of foot traffic, even though I ask the kids to take the shoes off. We have a dog and we live by the beach. Just can't tell you how wonderful it worked. My daughter he's constantly staying in her rug somehow and with the Oxy clean cleaner ... every spot came out. Can't wait to try it on the hardwood and tile floors

After using the carpet cleaner I was very pleased with the results. I really like the fact that I could spend time as needed to high traffic areas. Being able to rinse after cleaning was great. Also being able to dry was a plus for me .
