Although we had a bissell vacuum which was steamer our rugs did not look great after cleaning. Once I used the Hoover Smart wash vacuum our rugs look renewed and smelled cleaned.

We had an older carpet cleaner from Hoover and we liked it, but we used it a lot and felt we were due for a new one. The new one is lighter and easier to use. We have back and leg problems and this new cleaner was so much easier on us. It also cleans better than the older model, so we love working with it.

My favorite thing about the SmartWash is the ability to clean EVERY part of it once you're finished cleaning your carpet. Carpet cleaners get gross and stinky so fast so I love how easy they've made it to take fully apart and put back together.

Pros: 1) Easier clean-up than the Hoover model this one replaced. 2) Lower profile allowing a better reach under the edge of furniture. Cons: 1) The solution container needs to be removed to rinse, rather than flipping a switch, as was on my older model. Numerous brands have been used over the years. Hoover still functions the best for me.
