It took me a while to unbox and finally put this to use but I am happy with my purchase. I own two other carpet cleaners both of them are quite heavy and have larger tanks but they don't seem to have the effortless movements of this unit. Well this unit is not large it really does a good job. I tested it by vacuuming twice the area I plan to clean I then used my original carpet cleaner and cleaned and area. After it dried I brought out my new Hoover and I re-clean the same area I could not believe the difference The Hoover made. After it dried I again took out one of my other carpet cleaners and ran through the same process only this time there wasn't any residual cleanup needed. I also then tried this Hoover on its own in another room which I had cleaned and vacuumed and after it dried I brought out my older bigger machine and ran over it. I had the same results it did not have anything to pick up the Hoover had done the job. I would The Hoover made. After it dried I again took out one of my other carpet cleaners and ran through the same process only this time there wasn't any residual clean up need it. I love this machine. I would marry it if I could!! Seriously, though, they thought of everything. I simply push and pull-no squeezing a soap/water button (with my arthritis, this is a PLUS); carpet shampoo dispenser is separate-no more measuring and mixing; separate clean and dirty water co receptacles (hallelujah!!); the intake comes off with the touch of a finger, and snaps back on just as easily, AND the brushes slide out and back in with ZERO hassle-no screwdrivers and hunting down screws to take apart and clean the water intake and brushes and figure out how to put them back in correctly (this is a crazy big deal-so so so much easier!!!). I've owned several carpet cleaners over the years and this is the best yet. Oh, by the way, it cleans superbly!!! What a great bargain this machine is!! Thank you, Hoover!! I'd marry you, too, if I could!!

I bought this to replace a Hoover carpet cleaner that was approximately 10 years old. This is so easy to clean after you are done, which is important since I have 3 dogs, and no matter how much I vacuum, there is always more hair. I couldn't believe how well it cleaned!! I cleaned a whole room, and then did just one small area in my LR, and the next day I was shocked at the difference in that one small area to the rest of my carpet. Yep, I had to clean the rest of the room. I am one very happy customer.

Probably the best one I've owned by far. It's automatic dispensing when moving forward is so efficient and I'm amazed at the cleaning power from such a light-weight unit. I used for both my rugs in the house and the vehicle carpets. My pet doesn't shed a lot but I was amazed at how hair it was able to lift out. Really well engineered and easy to clean, refill and rinse. Wish I had it before. Highly recommend.

I bought this product to clean rugs that are really old, dingy, dirty and smelly! I didn't expect the cleaner to take 50 yr old dirt out I was surprised with the way my carpets smelled when I was finished. My rooms smelled so fresh and clean when I was done. The cleaner did remove a lot of the dirt and the dry only feature is wonderful. I cleaned a carpet and pulled all the excess water out when I was finished so by morning the carpet was totally dry. I have to mention how easy the cleaner is to use just move forward to clean and backward to suck up the dirt and water. The solution and water all mix automatically. When I was finished washing the carpet I went over it again with just water, no solution to rinse the carpet off then I used dry only slowly until no more water was being pulled from the carpet. I would buy this product again!

I bought this for my mom because I broke her old one. I was nervous about how well it was going to work because her older model Hoover seemed to be great. She used it once and was IN LOVE. She said it was easier to use, sucked up more of the water and was lighter over all than her older one. I'm borrowing it soon to use on my own carpets!
