We bought this about a month ago. We could not wait to clean our carpets. We did 2 rooms and were very pleased with the cleaning capacity. It works just as well as our old Hoover did, which is why we once again bought a Hoover!!

This was a good investment as far as ease of use and cleaning ability, however the ability to suck the water/cleaner back out of the carpet is highly overrated. Infomercial claim nearly all of the water will be removed from your carpet. Not true unless you have a waterproof rubber or plastic backed carpet. I estimate about only 1/3 of the liquid is removed. The rest soaks through the carpet and into the carpet pad. Still...the machine comes in handy for quick clean up of 'messy' big dog messes.

I have 3 rooms in my home that have carpet and researched all types of carpet cleaners. One thing I knew is I wanted a small carpet cleaner to store and not take up too much space. This SmartWash+ is amazing it does a great job cleaning carpets and it is the size of a vacuum cleaner. The customer service at Hoover is wonderful!

The first time I used it I was amazed how well it works. I wish I took before and after pictures. My carpet was really really dirty and the second time I used it the stains were almost gone. I thought the only way to get the stains out was a professional carpet cleaning service, but this did a fabulous job. Our friend saw how clean it got the carpet and she bought one too!
