We purchased the FH52000 and it is an outstanding machine, I experienced a problem in the beginning, but after I contacted Customer Service at Hoover, they went above and beyond my expectations to resolve any issues that I had. I have had various steam cleaning machines over time and Hoover is the superior brand by far!

I had purchased the smart wash and had it for a couple months. The brush belt broke. I tried fixing it and buying multiple belts only to find out I couldn't find the right one. I contacted Hoover and they instantly assisted with a solution! Great customer service!

The carpet cleaned and as advertised the carpet dried quick. My low rating is not because of functionality, but that of construction. After the first couple of uses the plastic cover will not stay on which prevents water suction. The lever to release the plastic cover became separated because the springs came out. Also when using the hose (when all parts functioned) the water did not come up easily on the stairs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No Suction - Left all the cleaning in the carpet

I purchased this product in July 2020. The very first time I used it, there was no suction in the beginning. After taking it apart and inspecting for some time (trial and error) it started to suction. It has very good suction when it works!! Tonight I tried to shampoo carpet again, and AGAIN NO SUCTION! I wish I had returned it after the first time.

I LOVE that I can take this whole thing apart and clean it when done using it. Especially helpful with dog hair! The hose attachment is great so I can clean my stairs. It worked very well on carpet that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. (We moved into an "as is" house.) A tip is take off the soap dispenser and you can then just have water run through if you don't want anymore soap to come out, which can be helpful if you want just a water rinse. I have owned many carpet cleaners over the yrs since I have dogs and is the best one.
