Lightweight - great on the back! The drying feature is considerably better than other carpet cleaners. The separate reservoir for the cleaning fluid is a money saver and requires less filling each use!! I highly recommend!

We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I highly recommend the smart wash carpet cleaner.

Brought this and it worked great the first and second time. Now I'm trying to use it and the wash feature doesn't work , read the manual and made sure the link container was clean and nothing . So 1 star for this product, what a waste of money

Better Than Professional Carpet Cleaning

We were due for a carpet cleaning when Covid lockdowns happened. We just had our carpets professionally cleaned less than a month ago. I was not happy with the results. We purchased the SmartWash+ and it arrived yesterday. I re-cleaned a 3' x 3' high traffic area that the professional cleaned. It is impossible for the carpet to have gotten as dirty as the water in the photos in less than a month with two people in our 2000 sq. ft. home. The SmartWash also picked up sudsy residue left behind by the professional. The machine is lightweight and easy to clean after using. I wonder if some of the bad reviews are because people do not read or follow directions. I owned another brand of carpet cleaner and I feel this one has a much better design for ease of use and care.

I've replaced the front cover with the one they sent me,wouldn't not fit brought 2 they didn't fit.so i'm still up the creek with dirty carpets. I liked it because I have cancer and it is light weight,Now ihave dirt every where on the floor.

I just bought this last week. Used it yesterday to clean about 1000 sq feet of carpet. I washed once and rinsed once. Today my carpet looks amazing. I had a Hoover Platinum Plus cleaner until it died. Hoover replaced it under warranty. But they no long made the cleaner that died. Didn't particularly like the replacement. So I tried a Bissell. I liked it or so I thought. They Bissell left my carpet too wet. So much so it developed a few lumps. I saw the advertisement for this cleaner. Loved the auto mix. Its light weight and easy to use. I cleaned it today. Also a breeze. Not so sure I like the button for dry only. Too often when I needed to go forward I had to hit dry only as to not put down more water. I personally would prefer a trigger to dispense water and solution. I also would recommend a light to show when the water is gone. The Platinum had those if I remember right. I am taking the Bissell back this weekend.
