I have used Hoover products on and off for at least 45 years. We have pets in our home, and carpet so having a dependable carpet cleaner in house is absolutely a necessity. My previous machine was a Bissell which I had only had for about 2-3 years. Did a pretty decent job - until it didn't. While using it the final time here's what happened. Unbeknownst to me the solution and water was running straight through the machine - and saturating the carpet BADLY. I thought it was using a LOT of solution (had to stop and measure out 5 ounces every time), and it sucked up two bottles of carpet cleaner. I did notice that as soon as I turned it on, without pressing the switch, it was already dispensing and sucking up the solution. When it FINALLY dried I was horrified to see HUGE brown stains all over the carpet. Every time I had stopped to either move something or head into the sink to refill/dump it was apparently just vomiting solution on the carpet. I tried to troubleshoot it, had hubby look at it, took apart a few things I read about online and finally did a test. I put a container of plain water on the machine which was unplugged and empty. The water immediately ran straight out onto the floor - seems a hose or something which could not be accessed was leaking. Out of warranty - and I immediately hauled it to the trash can and it is GONE. Got myself this new Hoover and used it the first time today. First I went over the brown stains with plain hot water. Immediately the carpet started looking normal. I had at least 10 of the spots and did them all. Then, I put in new solution, clean water, and redid the whole carpet - living room, dining room, and hallway. OMG!!! Carpet looks new again, and I love the fact I no longer have to squeeze the button (arthritis), and the solution smartly mixes with the water. I have used less solution which I'm sure is better for the carpet anyway. Also - I love the fact that I can remove the tank and just DRY it sucking up most of the fluid. Finally - the brushroll can be removed and cleaned completely. Love this thing!!! Haven't use the attachments yet, but I'm sure they'll be great too. I have had Hoover cleaners in the past and had various and sundry issues - but nothing lasts forever. I'm very happy with my new cleaner and would but it again!

I have had Hoover cleaners for many years but they all leaked water. I finally gave up and went to another brand. then this new one came on the market. I decided to try again. Boy this one is a real good cleaner. It gets stuff out of the carpet the commercial cleaners didnt get out. Leaks a little. cant be helped i guess.

My husband had been watching the infomercials for this Hoover machine for a while and he finally ordered it. I had it for about 3 weeks and thought I better use it before my 30 day return period was up. No returning this carpet cleaner! It works great! We have an area rug in our dining room that has a lot of white in it and it cleaned that rug up with ease! No running the machine back and forth a bunch of times to clean it. One swipe and it was clean. It looked like the day we bought it. I have a matching runner in our hallway and it cleaned it up beautifully. The white in these rugs was as bright and clean as a new one. I love the dryer on it and I was very surprised that it doesn't use a ton of the cleaning solution. It puts out just the right amount. That was one thing that I thought I wouldn't like was that I can't control spraying the solution out myself but it works great. I love the carpet cleaner. I have 2.5 year old and 8 month old Boxers so it's nice to have this for anything they may get on my rugs or furniture. I haven't used the attachments yet to clean the furniture but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I bought this carpet cleaner few weeks ago to DYI the steam cleaning of carpet which otherwise we outsource to 3rd party cleaners. The cleaner does a great job in cleaning the carpet with limited effort and leaves the room clean and smelling fresh. It was my first time on this, so took a while to get all tanks properly fixed. The cleaner is a bit heavier especially if you plan to do multiple rooms in a single day. However, its easy to clean once the liquid detergent and water has been in respective tank.

I love this carpet cleaner. Its lightweight and has great suction. It's never been so easy for me to clean carpet or spot clean. This shampoo solution is fabulous. It even removed old spots that wouldn't come clean. The first one I purchased didnt pickup water and Hoover replaced it immediately. I'm very pleased with this carpet cleaner.
