I just want to take a moment to brag about this. I had Bissel carpet shampooer for four years. It was decent but the seals started leaking after two years and it became a royal pain in the butt, so back in September I looked and looked at online reviews for a new one and found that this Hoover Smart Wash was rated way above the competition, so I ordered it online direct from Hoover. This thing blows the Bissel out of the water big time! Not only cleans better by far, but dries 1000% better. It also has a "Dry only" button that I use afterwards and you can walk on it almost immediately barefoot and not detect any water/moisture. With four dogs, we vacuum daily, but things happen. Dogs can get sick, have accidents, etc., so I try to clean the carpet once monthly. The carpet looks better than the day it was installed every time with this.

Have used this several times with good results.....with one exception. when pulling the machine back, then advancing forward, white foam is left on the carpet....this is during the wash/dry cycle....i have to switch over to dry only to get rid of the foam residue. i'm still using the solution that came with the unit so it's not because i'm using off-brand solution. it's aggravating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This will remove residual carpet cleaning solution from your carpets. To Rinse with clean water only, remove the Solution Tank and continue pushing forward to clean and pulling back to dry.
