[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] does not clean as promised. rollers get clogged and need to stop to clean. water flow with cleaner is not consistent.

Very Disappointed

Hoover has been a great name in cleaning for decade; however, I am highly disappointed in the Smart Wash carpet cleaner. I've had it about six-eight months and the brushes have stopped spinning, it makes an hideous noise, and the unit flashes Wash/Dry. As recommended, I have tried unplugging it, plugging it back in, and clearing any debris off rollers and in the hoses (several times) to no avail. Thank goodness I had kept my old carpet cleaner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is good for putting water on the floor.but it does not suck it up.

Leaks all over the place

I love the washer as it does a great job of cleaning the carpets and am amazed at the stuff that our other cleaner left behind. However it is leaking water all over the place and am disappointed with the quality.

Better Than Professional Carpet Cleaning

We were due for a carpet cleaning when Covid lockdowns happened. We just had our carpets professionally cleaned less than a month ago. I was not happy with the results. We purchased the SmartWash+ and it arrived yesterday. I re-cleaned a 3' x 3' high traffic area that the professional cleaned. It is impossible for the carpet to have gotten as dirty as the water in the photos in less than a month with two people in our 2000 sq. ft. home. The SmartWash also picked up sudsy residue left behind by the professional. The machine is lightweight and easy to clean after using. I wonder if some of the bad reviews are because people do not read or follow directions. I owned another brand of carpet cleaner and I feel this one has a much better design for ease of use and care.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes it does have good suction however the dirty water container is smaller than the one I had before and also the clean water container is smaller. I would love to have my old steam cleaner back but parts were unavailable and I had to take it to the dump. Miss it terribly. Sweepstakes

I do not like this scrubber, when you push forward yes indeed it washes and pulling it back does not extract as much water as I thought it would. I like to control the amount of water. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the ease of function with this machine but am upset that ( like many machines) - it leaks. It wouldn't be an issue if it came with a free silicone mat like the one which is offered on an major online website at the same price. ALL machines should come with a mat to help reduce the water that gets on the floor. Instead I must use a towel to help sop up water. So to help remedy the issue I looked on Hoover.com for the mat but you can't even purchase the mat from this site. Very frustrating. If you know leaking is an issue then please give the mat with the product or at least sell the mat so I'm not always sopping up water with a towel.
