I bought this cleaner because,I can take it all apart and throughly clean every part. No dirty particles or hair left in the cleaner,that is awesome! The great thing it is easy to assemble and use. I love the cleaning job it does and you can get a room done in such a short time,and dry it,and back on it in no time flat! I trust Hoover for a great cleaner!

I bought this a few weeks ago and have now had a chance to use it. Before I bought it, I read some of the ratings including some negative ones. As I used my machine, I thought about some of those problems that people said they had. "Uses too much cleaner and water." I find if I push forward pretty fast, it does not have time to put out too much water. Than I pull back slowly and I can see how much water it is picking up. I do the same when rinsing. Than I run over the carpet once again on the "Dry Only" cycle. Not a lot of water left in the carpet, but plenty of dirty water in the dirty water canister. And it was dirty. This carpet had only been cleaned with a cheap cleaner over the years. I like the size of the canisters. If they were larger I think the machine would be too heavy. I like that the clean water canister can be filled at the bathroom lavatory. I like how it all fits together so logically and easily. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I live in Las Vegas and the desert dust really dirties up the floors. Needed to replace my old Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum and based on the past 14 years, I wanted the same horkhorse. Get a Hoover Floormate Deluxe hard floor cleaner to tackle the tile floors too. The Hoover FloorMate Deluxe did such a great job on the tile floors, I wanted a new carpet cleaner that would perform to the same level. The Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner exceed my expectations.. The tank capacities (both clean and discharge) are large. The automatic mixing of solution and cleaning action had me worried, but after using I can't imagine using the old way of mixing and pulling a trigger. The unit is powerful and easy to use. My floors never looked this great, with little effort! Great value and performance!

I got my smartwash 7 months ago and i use it every week to do my carpets because we have 3 children and an inside dog. I love my smartwash because i don't have to mix my cleaning solution with the water and it has separate compartments for the water as well as the cleaning solution. I love that i don't have a button to push to release the water and cleaning solution . This makes for 1 less thing to break on a steam cleaner. It is also much quieter than my old steam cleaner that i gave to my friend once i got my smartwash.
