I puchased the cleaner Sept 28th 2018. I used it in our bedroom last week. It was so easy. I have an older Hoover carpet shampooer that is 25 years old that was starting to get tired, and very heavy moving it around the house. I love this new one. It is so light and dries so quickly. I did not get the extra attachment scrubber, crevice and upholstery cleaner. It was not in the box. We had to evaluate our house in he Carr fire and the ash is all over and it keeps finding it way no our home. Thank you

So, in June I bought this cleaner and was so satisfied! I paid $150 for one 8 years ago that lasted 5 years but I decided to try Bissell, it lasted 2 years and I paid $150 for that one. So I went back with Hoover this year, that said, with my disability this machine was so much better on my back and legs while using it I was SO impressed! Then after about 4 uses and 3 months the belt stripped and the rollers did not work. After a few messages back and forth with Hoover Customer Service, they sent me a new machine when I asked for a belt or 2, because let's face it, this happens and they are responsible as far as design but both design and use can lead to this. I knew I had treated the machine with much care, as I did the one from before that lasted 5 years. So, I was kind of upset but it happens... Hoover was very understanding! I hope that I can get another 5 years out of this machine. **To the Customers - this is a great machine! It cleans better than others I have had but you need to take care of it and keep it clean! **To Hoover - keep up the good work! This is so helpful in my condition! Even though you sent me a new machine (which I am so grateful for) I hope the maintenance issue can be resolved because I would hate for those costs to go to the customer and lessen your status as a Great Company with Great Products at a Great Price!

I have not had this machine over 3 months and it's already broke. Hoping it's just the belt but of course the manual doesn't provide proper directions to get to the belt to check or replace. Worst marching I ever bought. Waste of money! Wish I could return it and be done with it!

I purchased this Hoover Smart Wash carpet cleaner in January 2019. I used it on a very dirty carpet and it did an amazing job. I have used it many many times and have always been satisfied. I really love that you can use the shampoo, then rinse by removing the shampoo bottle, then turn off the water and it sucks all the remaining water from the carpet. It is sooo easy to use and it does a great job. BUT in May 2021 my shampoo bottle began to leak. I tried putting a new o-ring in the top but nothing helped. I reached out to Hoover and asked how to get a new shampoo bottle. They responded that they couldn't find a replacement but they sent me an entire new machine. I was amazed! Hoover is certainly a company I will continue to purchase products from!

I am returning this machine it would not ever buy this again

Used it once halfway through it Quit sucking up the water from the carpet. Took it apart and got it to work. I want to use it a second time same problem but this time can't get it to work. It's blowing out the air instead of vacuuming in, so I cannot get the water out the carpet.

Great carpet cleaner

My hover deep cleaner is amazing. I've had a hard time finding one that works with my carpet but this works perfectly. You don't have to hold a button to dispense water it does it automatically and automatically shuts it off and picks up water when going backwards. So easy to use and my carpets look amazing my carpets have never looked or smelled better! Best purchase.

I love the shampooer and how well it cleans but today we noticed the solution tank was leaking from the cap. Turns out, the seal had broken somehow. But there's no way to purchase the correct o-ring seals on the Hoover website and the valve replacement itself is sold out, so naturally people are over pricing them online for $25+. Hoover needs to make sure these machines are sent with replacement seals.

Hoover Smart Wash compared to Rug Doctor Deep Clean

The Hoover is lighter & gets under things better by design. The Rug Doctor is slightly heavier duty, takes less passes to get heavy soils out. Both units are superior for home use Apples & Oranges. The Hoover really helps cleaning it up after the job with quick removal brushes, the clean out is easier & faster. The Rug Doctor has to go to the tub and washed out from the bottom, harder to extract built up pet hair in the guide bar and the business area where the roller is. And worse, it's easy to get water hosed up into the motor area. Overall both are great machines, the Hoover is a newer design and wins because it is more "user friendly"...
