This is the first carpet cleaner I've ever owned. I was excited when it was delivered. I was a little less excited when I used it. The power button was broken, which I didn't realize since it did eventually turn on. As soon as I notified Hoover the sent me info to return it and replaced it within a week

We have been very pleased with this product. A major improvement from our last carpet cleaner! It is easy to use and cleans wonderfully and gets the carpet quite dry compared to other extractors that I have used. It is fairly wide, which may be a positive or negative depending upon your situation.

I checked a lot of reviews and decided on the Hoover Smartwash. It is easy to handle and does a great job. I love the dry only feature which allows you to pull more moisture out of the carpet to reduce drying time. I am very happy with this purchase.
