I purchased this machine a month ago and it by far out performed all that I thought it would do. It's way better than any rug doctor or any rental, it's portable and easy to operate reservoirs pop in and out with a gentle pull and go back the same, I love it. It really cleans.

I bought this carpet cleaner about 7 month ago. Now one day the rollers start making a noise and don't spin on carpet. I take it a part to find the tension roller is moving and rubbing on the outside plastic wall causing the rollers not to spin. I was able to rig it so it will work. Looking for parts now to replace the whole roller control assembly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used it once but shampooed several carpets. It was so simply to set up, clean carpet and then clean up. I love it. There's no comparison between this SmartWash and my old shampooer which was complicated and took an hour or more to clean it.
