First time purchasing a carpet shampooed and I'm so glad I chose this one. I typically hire a professional to come in every few months to do our carpets. I just always figured that they would have the best products. However I was certainly fooled! I finally broke down and bought one. I studied different ones for a couple weeks till I decided that this one was just meant to be and I couldn't be any happier. First I've already saved a fortune in my wallet by not having to hire any one. Second this device makes it so easy and honestly it's just pleasing to watch the process. In fact I love shampooing my carpets! What intrigued me the most was the fact that it's self propelled. Now it propels going forward but you control the speed on the way back. Not only that it's also lightweight. Both these features are wonderful to have when your working shampooing all the carpets in your home. Working this device is a breeze. When heading backwards the heat kicks in and offers faster drying time. You won't have to make frequent stops either. Thanks to the long cord and large water reservoir. Also comes with a hose to clean those stair cases and other hard to reach spots. This device can maneuver around the house like you wouldn't believe. I can get in under the bed so much easy it just rolls around wonderfully. The auto mix will precisely add the necessary amount of cleaning solution. Cleanup was very simple. The tanks pop off without a fight and are easy to clean. The shampooer is built wonderfully. It's strong and durable and certainly meant to last. I'm confident that I'll get my money's worth and then some. My carpets look just like they have been cleaned by a professional. Actually I did just as good if not better. This device is certainly worth its weight in gold and then some.

This carpet cleaner is better than any carpet cleaner Ive had previously. I have a high pile carpet in one room which makes cleaning messes my dog and children make an absolute nightmare. Setup was extremely simple and the manual was easy to understand. The GENEROUS size of the tanks that holds the clean/dirty water means less trips back and forth to fill it up/empty it and I was able to clean the whole high pile carpet in one fell swoop. Cleaning the machine after use was also very simple, there weren't a lot of crevices and removing the brush head was easy. The drying feature is my favorite feature by far though. Forward to wash, Back to dry. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before? Watching the machine actually suck the water out of the carpet was rewarding. One thing I don't look forward to when cleaning my carpets is how long it takes for them to dry. My kids end up with wet socks which isn't a huge deal but an inconvenience nonetheless. With this machine when using the drying feature it literally had the carpet dry by the next morning (I cleaned it at 9 pm and at 7 am it was dry). I like the addition of the pet tool which allows me to clean spots on the steps that I never could before. I also use this for small spots on the furniture. It is manageable to carry and wasn't hard to push forward on the rug which I also liked. I wish the actual power cord was a bit longer, but its nothing that cant be remedied with an extension cord.

This shampooer is a little different than most. I have owned many different models from different brands and this so far cleans the best I have seen. When pushing the unit forward, the water is distributed automatically. I did love this feature because after a while, your finger sometimes can cramp from holding the trigger or if you are like me, you end up breaking that part. One drawback that I have found is on those harder stains that you want to move extra slow on to add more scrubbing, is that this unit has to be a consistant forward place to distribute the water. Pulling back automatically sucks up that water which is not different than any other model. There is a feature where you push dry only and it will suck up the water that you may think you missed. The truth though is this has incredible suction. The cord is about average length and adding necesary attachments when needed were not hard at all. The attachments did work effectively on my high traffic stairs in my home. The unit itself is about medium weight in comparison to others I have used. It is easy to fill as well as empty the tank. The brushes on this unit work great. There were a few stains in my living room that previously I couldn't get up, however with this machine, I was able to. Overall, I am impressed with the performance of this model and I would recommend this to anyone that is on the fence on this one.

We have a black lab, but she doesn't always go on the carpet of our home. She enjoys the outdoors, but that leads to paws that are aren't so clean. And, dogs dont really wipe thier feet like we do. She has left some not flattering stains on the floor. And, when I tried scrubbing it myself it became an even bigger mess. It's as if the mess just spread then disappeared so this has been a miracle to our house! It took the stain out and no odor either of a dog which is nice. It's as if I have new carpets.

I'm impressed! Super easy to use, you move the machine forward to wash and backwards to dry and there is no need to measure anything. 2 seperate tanks, 1 for water and 1 for the cleaning solution. Dries quickly!

Hoover never seems to disappoint with their products at all. I absolutely love my carpet cleaner. I do deep cleaning every spring and fall and it gets my carpets very nice and clean. I've used it a few times for accidental spills and cleans right up. I love my Hoover and recommend them to all my friends and family.
