The item cleans as advertise, and the suckshion is very good. Except the buttom for the rinse/suck is too low, and you have to keep bending over to turn it on. Also the handly is too short, for anyone over 5'8, it will wind up hurting your back. All they had to do was made it 1-2" LONGER! Would I recomment this? Yes and No. for taller people over 5"8 and the on/off buttom as stated above NO. But YES to everything else as far as cleaning,
Us consumers get a little disillusioned these days with false claims on so many advertised products on TV. I have to say, however, this new Hoover SmartWash Carpet Cleaner is amazing! Not too difficult to take out of box, put together in less than 15 min, and using it within 30 min of removing from box. 3 tanks: warm water, cleaning solution, and dirty water tank are incredibly easy to use. The Wet/Dry feature works perfect (and a DRY ONLY button helps additionally). Clean up is a breeze. Because the cleaning solution is a separate tank, any unused cleaner goes back into the main cleaner bottle (not down the drain). Also, being able to remove rotating brushes for an after-carpet-cleaning debris removal is a fantastic design element. This has never been so easy on previous machines. All in all 5-Stars to Hoover -- brilliantly designed, easy-to-use, and a breeze to clean up after finished!
Although we had a bissell vacuum which was steamer our rugs did not look great after cleaning. Once I used the Hoover Smart wash vacuum our rugs look renewed and smelled cleaned.
Our carpets needed cleaning badly. We were able to move furniture and clean and dry one section at a time. It did a great job and was easy to manipulate.
