This carpet cleaner is so easy to use. Push forward to release cleaner then pull back to dry. I love the feature to use only the drying section to pull up excess water. I'm so happy I made this purchase.

When will I ever learn that nothing sold via an infomercial ever lives up to the hype? I spent several hours trying to "SmartWash" my carpet and one set of stairs. I went OVER and OVER and OVER the areas with the "dry only" mode and the carpet was still super wet. I had fans running at full speed on the carpet for an hour and they still weren't dry. I guess I'll just have to continue having the pro's come out once a year to do the job right...and let them do all the heavy furniture moving/lifting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this about a month ago and have used it in my livingroom and on my couch. Both came out looking amazing! The drying feature is great because I dont have to keep the family out of the livingroom for the day while the carpet dries.

I have 2 dogs and hadn't cleaned my carpets in a very long time! Needless to say.... I Love It!! Needless to say I won't be waiting that long to do my carpets again!

Our old machine was a Bissel Pet. The sprayer died and it was many year old so we decided to upgrade. After researching, I chose this brand and model and I'm so happy with it. It was so simple to put together and get going. Clean up was also really easy. The carpets were like new, old stains came up and it dried very quickly.

So far so good. We bought this cleaner last year and it seems to do a good job. It takes for ever to rinseout the detergent. I'm wondering if I actually do need to dilute the solution since it is a concentrated formula. I can find anything in the manual about that matter.

Thank you for rating the Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner 5 stars! The Auto Mix feature precisely mixes and dispenses solution for optimal carpet washing. Fill the Solution Tank with Hoover® Cleaning Solution to the top of the tank (do not add water). For best results, rinse the carpet with clean water only. This will remove residual carpet cleaning solution from your carpets. To Rinse with clean water only, remove the Solution Tank and continue pushing forward to clean and pulling back to dry the carpet. Thanks, Allison-Hoover Team.
