I bought this a month ago and used it. It worked great but I only have 1 problem, the stair tool that came with it was defective. I sent an email for a replacement but I did not get any response. It would have been a 5 star if were not for this.

What I like about the SmartWash Carpet Cleaner? Just about everything. The resvoir is easy to fill, the containers are up high, that makes it easy to remove and put back. The soap container as well. The machine cleans and automatically drys the carpet. I was amazed. The only question I have is why they did not include a shut off on the soap dispenser. It is easy enough to remove the soap container and use the machine without the soap but it would be nice to have shut-off instead.

I expect a lot from a carpet cleaner and the SmartWash+ does not disappoint. It maneuvers well and hugs the walls like a pro. Assembly was easy. I really like that there is a separate dispenser for the cleaning solution and the water. This eliminates waste of the cleaning solution. I like that there is no trigger button to dispense the cleaning solution. When you push the cleaner forward, a button illuminates to let you know it is in Wash mode and when you pull it back it is in Dry mode. A separate button allows you to Dry Only. I was impressed with amount of suction that the dry functions produce. I used the tough stain spray I was provided on numerous spots our elderly cat made. It preformed nicely. I like the rubberized button on the water tank; it makes it easy to remove. My favorite feature is the removable cover to clean it and the brushes without disassembling the cleaner. The length of the hose attachment is great for stairs. The grip handle helps to get the unit up the steps. The upholstery cleaning attachment works well.

I bought this Smartwash carpet cleaner to avoid a rental. I had been renting a unit probably no more than once per year, but decided to buy this time. This unit did a better job than the rental unit I had been using and it is easier to use. This is a really well designed system. Owning this system will allow us to clean the carpets more often.
