I love this machine! I didnt notice the dry only button until I was finished. But will definately use the next time. I bought the pretreat stain remover separate and it works well for tough stains. I recommend getting hoovers detergents for the machine. The carpets look professionally cleaned. All and all I am very pleased with this purchase!

My old rug cleaner, not a Hoover, had a part that needed replacing but parts were no longer available so after reading reviews I decided to purchase the Smartwash. My concerns? Only that the front wheels are a little wobbly and concerned they may be a problem in the future. What do I like about the unit? It is pretty lightweight but sturdy; I can carry it upstairs pretty easily. After reading a review with pointers on using it I found it easy to get started cleaning. The unit is pretty easy to clean, a huge plus as SO MUCH dirt and hair was washed from my rugs in spite of a good vacuuming prior. Like my last rug cleaner I don't feel the attachment for cleaning stairs offers enough suction power but is acceptable. Overall I really like the carpet cleaner, the price is right and encourage the purchase to anyone looking for a good product!

I have used this machine. It not only works great but is easy to use a clean after using. Other machines I have owned and even rented are hard if not impossible to clean and sanitize, this was a snap. This feature alone makes it the best cleaner I have used.

I bought this carpet cleaner about a month ago. It works great and lifts a lot of dirt out of our carpets!! We have 2 dogs (one being a potty training puppy) so this carpet cleaner is getting lots of use!! Love the way you can take the cleaner head apart and clean the wheels and head!! My only issue is that I find that it spits water out between the tower of the machine and the cleaner head, small openings on either side of cleaner head. That's the only draw back, I stuff rags in there so it doesn't spray on the walls or furniture.
