I have been renting carpet cleaners for years and I should have turned to Hoover years ago. It was so easy to clean and the machine it self is a dream. I don't have pets but think the Hoover 'pet' appliances are superior.

We have 3 large dogs, and this machine definitely did a great job. Very pleased with how easy it is to use, and it's super easy to clean the brushes and tank afterward. It's not going to replace periodic professional cleaning, but it sure does help us keep our carpets looking and smelling fresh. Haven't yet tried the upholstery tools...that's this weekend's project. :)

I purchased the Hoover Smartwash just over a month ago and I would have to say I a little disappointed not in the cleaning but in the drying. I find that it does not dry as well as described even with the dry only feature my carpet still remained wet. I find that I have to do the carpet in the morning and then allow it all day to dry. I will say it is easy to use and cleans very well.
