I have several Hoover products. I have a Hoover Steamvac Widepath that is about 20 years old. It still clean well, but is very heavy to use. I really did not need another carpet cleaner, but I was sold when I read that the washing head came apart for cleaning. I purchased it last spring but never used it until now due to some home improvement projects. It was so easy to use, I not only did the whole house (living room, dining room, family room and 4 bedrooms), I did the family room twice! I am extremely pleased with the results. The whole machine came apart for cleaning (this is a big deal for me). It is now clean and ready for the next time. My carpets look perfect and my house is ready for holiday decorating. I would highly recommend this carpet cleaner to anyone. I am extremely picky, but I am also extremely pleased with the performance of this machine.

I love it! Best purchase I have made four a home care product in a very looking time. Easy to assemble. Easily maneuverible. Lightweight. Easily manageable water and solution tanks. Easy to remove/clean/reinstall nozzle and brushes. And although the room I cleaned was really bad and I had forgotten to pick up the pre-treatment for spots, the carpet came out great! And by 5 hours after shampooing, the carpet was completely dry. (It may have been sooner, that was 5he first time I checked it.) I also appreciate not having to press a trigger to dispense the cleaning solution. I liked everything about this machine.

Bought it 3 months ago- works as promised. With 2 dogs and a lot of foot traffic plus light colored carpets means it shows dirt well. This carpet cleaner works so much better than the rental units. Our carpets look great, visitors actually notice the difference now. The carpets fell softer and are much drier after cleaning- that never happened with the rental cleaners. Very easy to use, simple and lightweight- easy on your back. Well work the money

I HAVE HAD AT LEAST 3 OTHER HOOVER STEAM VAC'S OVER THE YEARS. THE SMART WASH IS THE BEST OF THE LOT. IT'S EZ TO OPERATE, THE WATER SUCTION IS WHAT SET'S THIS MACHINE APART FROM THE OTHERS. THE GREATER THE SUCTION THE FASTER YOUR CARPET WILL DRY!!

I love the cleaner but cannot figure out how to attach the hose. Even the photo of the hose on the website doesn't show how it attaches to the machine. Help! An online manual? The product itself is great but after you own it, there's a bit of work trying to get info. I really want to use this feature but no idea how.

To attach the hose, open the hose connection port and insert the hose end by inserting firmly into the hose solution port.
