I recently received my carpet scrubber and I love it. I am just a pinch disappointed that it spits the water onto the walls I actually put a paper towel where it was coming from and it was stopped. Other than that I cannot say enough about how I love it.

Hi Jeff0418, thank you for reviewing the Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner. We are here to help! To reduce leaking after using your carpet cleaner we recommend that after you are done cleaning, put your unit in the upright position and wait about 5 seconds before turning your unit off. This will allow the water you were just sucking up to finish traveling to your dirty water tank and properly store in there - in turn reducing you leaking! To avoid damage to wood and laminate flooring and to avoid potential slip hazard, after use do not leave the product on wood or laminate surfaces and move to a hard surface and place the unit on an absorbent material (such as a towel) to soak up drips.
