Believe me when I say I'm super skeptical buying anything online guess what I'm glad I did best all around machine I've ever used ...pet stains gone...carpet super clean the only thing to remember is the dry only button. Use it... Would definitely recommend anyone to buy this machine you won't be sorry

I (thought I) posted a negative review about the SmartWash I recently purchased. The first time I used it, yesterday, it was working fine until I emptied the dirty water and then after that, the suction wasn't right and it wasn't pulling up enough water and was leaking pretty badly. I was all set to return it ASAP until I saw how great my carpet looked this morning. It hasn't been this clean in years with the Dual V Widepath that I thought was doing an amazing job until it died after 10 years of use. I was so excited about how easy my SmartWash was to clean yesterday that I figured I must've either gotten a defective one or didn't reconnect something correctly. The latter must've been the case because now the suction is right and there is virtually no leaking when it's not being run. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and if it were possible, I would give it 10 stars. I'm so relieved that I didn't return it and gave it another chance!!! Hoover did an amazing job on this--it is as if they took the Dual V Widepath and corrected everything that was wrong and named it SmartWash. A BREEZE to clean in every way, functions are a breeze as well. The only improvement that would make this any better would be if they could figure out how to make the cord retractable! ;0)

I have 2 cats in a small apartment and they are constantly vomiting on the tan carpeting. Very rarely on the linoleum..... is carpeting brought up in their instincts? Anyway, I pre-treated old stains and I am very happy with the outcome after using this.
