A lot to like about this carpet cleaner. Easy to use and clean. We bought it in May of 2020 and the motor died last week. Should I purchase this same model again? I probably will because weighing the cost vs convenience and performance make it a good value to me.

I have always been a diehard Bissell fan and always believed that Bissell made the best carpet cleaners. As of late I have not been a fan of Hoover until I bought this carpet cleaner the other day. I am not kidding, this smart wash system is far and above anything that Bissel offers including the big green yes the big huge green one the commercial one they offer. I have owned the big green and of course it cleans well but it's extremely heavy and the performance of the smart wash is equal to or exceeds that of the big green. This Hoover is far and above the best carpet cleaner I've ever used and it's actually very well-made . I wish I could somehow get some free products from Hoover to try because I've always been a vacuum fanatic since I was a child and would love to test new items!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Skeptical but mildly hopeful, I purchased the Smart Wash because our still young, two year old Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner failed to remove our dog's urine and fecal stains from the carpet. The Smart Wash somehow not only removed those stains, but also removed what looked like dirt left by the previous home owners five years ago. Buy the Hoover Smart Wash! You won't be disappointed. As a bonus, the Smart Wash is very easy to disassemble and clean. Thank you, Hoover, for saving our carpet.

I purchased this machine and LOVED it. I recommended it to all of my friends and then within 3 month the drive gars stripped. I reached out to Hoover and they were incredible.. I sent them pictures of the destroyed drive unit and they promptly sent a replacement machine. I am afraid that the drive will strip again but I was VERY happy with their rapid and aggressive response to a catastrophic failure of their drive assembly. I am reluctant to recommend the machine but I absolutely recommend the company.

Really like this thing. The automatic wash/dry on back and forth is very intuitive. Glad that it has a dry only mode and that the solution goes in separate tank. Cleans well and dries better than anything I've used.

I purchased this product and the next day my neighbour (pensioner) asked me to clean her carpet before her new lounge suite was delivered. I was really unsure as it hadn't been cleaned for 15 years. The carpet came up beautifully, I was so impressed I went home and cleaned my own carpets. Now I clean alternating rooms every month. It has already paid for itself and I have only had it for 10 months. No more professional carpet cleaning bills and I have a professionally clean carpet. I LOVE this machine !!!

Worked when I used it on three occasions. Then the water & cleaning fluid poured out everywhere. I checked the seals, cleaned etc. Still floods & only 6 months old. Messy & expensive.
