I've used it once but shampooed several carpets. It was so simply to set up, clean carpet and then clean up. I love it. There's no comparison between this SmartWash and my old shampooer which was complicated and took an hour or more to clean it.

I have had 3 smartwash steamers they clean great but last only a short time due to the brushes breaking, so if it doesn't work it it can't clean.

I agree with many of the other reviews. I had an older Hoover that dribbled water and used a lot of cleaner. It wore out my arm when using it. This Hoover is wonderful to use as it really is as easy as vacuuming. Also it is easy to remove the cover to remove debris from the rollers and let everything dry! I love this cleaner so much that I'm bringing it to my moms condo to clean her carpets!

I am a big Hoover fan, but this carpet cleaner is very disappointing. When my dogs leave small accidents, the area that I clean up where they went still leaves the circle marks. I thought this machine would be a lot better.

I've had mine, for over a year now and, it still works great! Just make sure not to use off brand chemicals with it, because the Hoover brand ones are the ones that maximize the usage. Even with our lab/pit mix, it works wonders!

Brought this for my sister who recently moved to her new house and has two big dogs. She personally loved how it clean all of her pets fur laying on carpet or sofa

I bought this about 3 months ago, after debating buying another hoover shampooer. I have owned several models, and they always broke. The hose for upholstery attachments always leaks, and it did for this machine too. It leaks from the bottom and gets dirty water on the carpet. So i have to go over it again. This machine is very easy to use, super Light and manageable to move around. It is just like a vacuum. As far as cleaning, its great. I do think the max extract machine is better though, getting stains out. I do go back over and hand scrub the stains remaining..
