I bought this SmartWash April 20th 2020. We live in northern Michigan, and burn wood in our fireplace insert all winter to heat our home. The heat is beautiful, but the dust and ash is terrible. Each spring we have to clean our light beige carpet. We have called professionals in, or rented commercial machines to do the job. After seeing the AD for the SmartWash on TV, at such a good price, I told my husband we should check it out. We are both up in age and this looked like it worked almost as easy as a vacuum cleaner. The price was about the same as we would pay for a professional to come in and do it. Once we got the unit , I was more than impressed with the suction power and scrubbing brushes as it cleaned. It does a better job than any thing else we have ever tried. The best thing was we did not have to distrupt our whole house in one day to get the job done, and move everything. We did the bedrooms one day, the hall and dining room the next, then the living room. The machine is light weight and very easy to handle. It did a fantastic job, and the dry only button helped the carpet to dry to walk on in socked feet, in no time at all. Great product, I would recomend this to everyone .

We have owned a few carpet cleaners over the years (being dog people) and each one seemed to lack something that made these units a real pain. Whether it was tank locations, operation etc. In our home we have to types of carpet berber and high pile. for reference the berber is a bear to clean. We have used the cleaners with the rollers, the spinning brushes and neither of the old cleaners seemed to really get deep into the pile of berber leaving a top surface that was beautiful but after a few days the deep stain would come back through. Enter the new cleaner...Holy Cow!!! this machine is a powerhouse. Gave the berber the "what-for" with no return stain as of this writing (two weeks later). Awesome. Overall this is a brilliant piece of engineered carpet cleaner. On the Seventh day God rested and told us to get yourself this Hoover and make your life a little bit less stressful.

Overall good and easy product to use. Noticed a little rust forming around where roller bearings connect. Not sure if this is normal, lubed with (HT) grease. Will see if this corrects the problem since the bearings and inserts are metal connecting with water. Only have had for a week, used three times and noticed this after removing covers that rollers connect to. Overall not bad. Easy as vacuuming.
