I have owned a Hoover steam cleaner in the past and it finally died after 17 years, so we had to get another one. This one is pretty good! I like that you don't have to hold a trigger to wash, but I had to go over spots a lot more than in the past. I also love the 3 separate containers for clean, dirty and cleaning solution and clean up was a breeze the front cover pops off easily making it easy to rinse off.

SmartWash+ is everything I've ever wanted in a carpet cleaner. Super simple to use, powerful, well-engineered for cleaning/maintenance, and most important - reliable. Reliability has always been the bane of our carpet cleaners. Having used all sorts of cleaners over the years (including Bissell which seem to work great at first and then quickly develop problems and require replacement parts), Hoover has delivered a top-quality product which lasts. Last but not least, the heat force feature is brilliant . . . I can't praise this enough. Damp socks and wet sections of carpets/rugs are a thing of the past. SmartWash+ is fantastic!
