[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used Hoover carpet cleaners I am 61 years old and I have never seen such a horribly made product in my life I bought my first smartwatch cleaner it lasted 5 years I decided to go buy another one. I bought it the end of October today is March the 4th and it has broken right in the middle of shampooing carpets I am absolutely livid what has happened to the quality of Hoover products. I use nothing in it but Hoover solution to clean with. This is totally unacceptable. I'm not paying the money to ship it back. Hoover has turned into junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On first use, this Hoover Carpet Cleaner made my caroet look new. I was shocked. When finished cleaning carpet I followed the manual and was able to clean out the carpet cleaner completely in 10 minutes.

Garbage, don't waste your money

This is the second one I have owned. The first started to spray water from the base, machine replaced, 2nd one goes through soap extremely fast. Just went to use it and now it doesn't suck up the water

When will I ever learn that nothing sold via an infomercial ever lives up to the hype? I spent several hours trying to "SmartWash" my carpet and one set of stairs. I went OVER and OVER and OVER the areas with the "dry only" mode and the carpet was still super wet. I had fans running at full speed on the carpet for an hour and they still weren't dry. I guess I'll just have to continue having the pro's come out once a year to do the job right...and let them do all the heavy furniture moving/lifting.

I got my carpet cleaner over a week ago and knew I needed to use it to make sure it worked within 30 days. So after a busy day Monday decided I had better do it. It took more time preparing than it did actually using it. Had to move everything possible off the floor and vacuum. Then ran the cleaner in the master bedroom and had a bad spot in a smaller bedroom so went from the door into the room to the spot. Had a large carpet scrap that I had at the foot of the bed so laid it out in the living room and did it too. Loved it!!!!! Very simple. A 12 oz bottle of shampoo came with the unit so I poured the entire bottle into the cleaner container. Filled the clean water tank with warm water. (No mixing) This is a Hoover Smart Wash Carpet Cleaner and it is quite smart. When you push it forward, it dispenses water and cleaner together. When you pull it backward, it sucks the water out of the carpet. Easy to use - was done in 30 min. However, it also says to rinse the carpet. The rental machines suck the water out of the carpet but don't rinse it. I've always thought it was leaving dirty shampoo in the carpet. So now I KNOW it was leaving dirty shampoo in the carpet. To rinse, I just removed the shampoo bottle and it dispensed the clean water then extracted the water. I emptied the dirty water tank once when using the shampoo, then again once when rinsing. Then I removed the clean water tank and dried the carpet. There is a dry button that I pushed and it continued to extract water from the carpet - going both forward and backward. Then emptied the dirty water tank a third time after drying the carpet. So at this point I was through and took it into the bathroom to clean the unit. It came apart very easily. Good instructions but really weren't needed as easy as it was. Very easy cleanup. So....I am delighted but exhausted!!!! If I were young it would be a breeze but at 77 it took everything I had to finish. I was through cleaning the unit by 3. I bought this a month ago and am so happy that I did...

We have had this AMAZING product for 5 months now and I want to express how impressed I am with EVERY FEATURE and FUNCTION of this carpet cleaner. My wife purchased this item and then presented it to me when she wanted the carpets in our home cleaned. Besides the normal dirt and grime in any home, we have a dog and there are some occasional accidents. I was especially impressed with the powerful suction which picks up almost ALL of the water used. The pickup water tank had almost as much water in it as the supply tank had when I started. This greatly reduces the drying time of your carpets. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer, and Tool Maker, so I just set it up and went to town. This shampooer does an incredible job of deep cleaning and picking up the dirt, but what really impresses me is how EASY it is to clean the machine any time during use. This machine picks up dirt, dog hair, lint etc. at an amazing rate, but it only takes a few seconds to remove any dirt, hair, or carpet fibers from the rollers, or the suction port. The Engineering Design of this product is outstanding! I recommend this carpet cleaner with NO Hesitation.
