Has saved me from many pet messes!

This machine is a gold mine. It has saved me many times when the cats threw up on the carpet. My first one worked great for many months and when I did have a problem customer service replaced it. I would say that the trick to maintaining it is making sure to wash all the parts after each use. That means, take the brushes out, rinse the brush cover, wash out the dirty water bin, and let all the parts dry before putting it all back together. Works like a charm.

I got three passes out of the machine, and then it started making a loud grinding groaning sound and shut off and blew a fuse. I immediately noticed an burning motor/electrical smell. I turned the machine over to check to see if the brushes were stuck for some reason. When I turned the machine over, I noticed black soot marks on my carpet. So disgusted with this cleaner. I will never buy another machine from hoover, nor do I want a new machine as I do not want to take the chance of an electrical fire. I now have a stain on my carpet that I have to try to clean. I want my money back. I'll need it to have the carpet professionally cleaned to get rid of the black marks on my carpet. I'll buy a Bissel with the money that's left! What a huge disappointment!! Your company should be ashamed for the shoddy products you sell.

Hoover has been a great name in cleaning for decade; however, I am highly disappointed in the Smart Wash carpet cleaner. I've had it about six-eight months and the brushes have stopped spinning, it makes an hideous noise, and the unit flashes Wash/Dry. As recommended, I have tried unplugging it, plugging it back in, and clearing any debris off rollers and in the hoses (several times) to no avail. Thank goodness I had kept my old carpet cleaner.

I Bought the Hoover Smart Wash on 05/3/2018.I Have a Bissel Pro Heat Turbo 2 X that I cleaned my carpets on the day before I bought the Hoover. This morning I decided go over the room where my dog had some accidents. I could not believe the dirt that the Smart Wash pulled out of my carpet, the water was black. My carpet color is almost a White, after cleaning this room it looks like the day it was installed. tomorrow I will do the rest of the house. This is the easiest machine to use and clean. What I did when I was cleaning was to do the wash on each path and when I got to the end where I stopped I put on the dry only until I had all the water pulled out, then I would overlap by a 1/2" and start the next one with the same method. I had my carpets cleaned last year by a commercial carpet cleaner, and in my estimation my carpets look far better than what I payed for. (They Now Look Brand New) If you want clean carpets save money and buy the Hoover Smart Wash. My only hope is that this Hoover Smart Wash is built to last. One suggestion that I have is there should be an indicator light or something else which would let you know that the water tank is low or empty instead of always having to check. My Rating for this Hoover Smart Wash on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the Highest is a 10 way to go Hoover on a excellent product.

I have owned a Hoover previous to purchasing this one so honestly had no worries.I have a baby that is starting to crawl so I wanted to upgrade. Although the concept of it is cool the suction was not.No matter how many times I went over on dry only I still could not get it back up.I know because with a full tank of water I only got about 25 percent back.

I have had this machine for quite a while now and until today it worked great. It started making horrible noise and the rollers didn't work right. I would like to see if it's the belts so I you tubed it. I did everything it said and still can't get to the belts. I need my carpets cleaned because of the pets I have. It would be nice to get it fixed.

SmartWash+ Automatic Carpet Cleaner is great to use on my carpets. I wasn't sure how it would clean the big major stains but it has met my expectations. I absorbed all stains and let it sit for a bit. Used the carpet cleaner and I couldn't believe how much stain it pulled up from this stain remover. The best part was no more stain. I'm hoping the stain doesn't come back like other stain removers I have used. So far so good. No cons. Love it!
