Hoover has created an excellent carpet cleaner! Extremely user friendly, very quick dry time and you can actually clean it post use within 3-5 minutes (brushes, suction,etc.). Only one suggestion, looks, acts, feels professional now light it up with led allowing user to see everything even in dark spaces! Great job Hoover!

Waste of Money

I used it 6 times and cleaned it every time I used it. I turned it on and it made a horrible whining noise and now the brushes do not roll anymore. I spend almost $300 on this and now it no longer works. The brushes were cleaned after every use. There are no clogs or problems with suction just no longer have use of rollers. This is my second purchase of a Hoover Cleaner and now my last time using Hoover Products....disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solution dispenser leaks

It works well, but I've now gone through two of these in a year - the reliability is awful. Two different problems (most recently a bad nozzle on the solution tank that leaks solution everywhere when the machine is on), returned two different times. Never again.
I cleaned my carpets day one and it did a excellent, on the second day, midway through the bedroom I was cleaning, the WASH function did not activate while going forward. It stayed in the DRY position while moving forward (and no, I did not have the DRY only button depressed). I cleaned the brushes, made sure the water tank was full and insured the wasted water was emptied and that the brush cover plate was firmly attached. I even use the hose feature to insure the water pump was working (which it did).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke on second time using it!!

Today is only the second time using my smart wash. Halfway through the room I was doing the wash stopped working, the dry only button was not pressed it would always say DRY when going forward, cleaned and washed everything still doesn't work. I had really high hopes for this, waste of money!!
I've bought 2 of these rug scrubbers now and they've both quit working. The brushes stop moving and it doesn't suck the water up anymore. The second one also kept making a blue mark on the carpet after you would stop scrubbing. We kept the brushes clean and would try to sweep the area before scrubbing and it happened a second time. Will not be getting anymore of these!!
I've owned this machine for only 4 months and have used it 4 times. The 1st three times were excellent, the fourth time I used it the machine has literally no suction. Very disappointed ..... I want to return but no longer have my receipt This is an expensive machine and should function under normal circumstances for more than 3 uses.

I purchased this machine and used a few times. The second time I used the upholstery attachment the spray wouldn't spray the water/solution out but would the suction work. Took to a repair person to fix and was told it would cost more to fix than buy new. I told him to junk it.
