I have pets & kids with carpets so I need a good rug cleaner. I had high hopes for Hoover and so far, it's doing a good job. My carpets look cleaner & fresher. I love the smart wash and the ability to turn if off. I love how I can take it apart in the cleaning area and wash parts. In general, I would recommend this cleaner. My only complaint is that it wasn't fully effective on freshly.spilled coffee. There is still a trace stain despite using Hoovers cleaner & soap.
