I recently bought this air unit to put in my garage when I worked on projects, I wasn't sure if this unit was big enought to handle my garage which is 3 car 30x28. To my suprise it keeps my garage between 79 and 80 degrees here in Florida on 93-94 outside temp days. More than pleased. I did insulate my doors and attic. I would definitely recommend, also very quiet.

Works great, cools space really well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this Midea portable A/C is working flawlessly. We have it in a finished space above a detached garage that is a little over 400 sqft and it is more than adequate. Like most portable units it is a bit noisy but not as bad as others we've used. The connectivity has been a bit buggy but that could be wifi strength in that area and we haven't had a chance to get a new node to increase signal strength.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cool at last!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a portable a/c unit to help cool my office throughout the Florida summer. I was lucky enough to get the Midea DUO 12,000 BTU SACC Smart Inverter Portable Air Conditioner with Heat for free in exchange for a review. The product has more than met my expectations! Set up was a breeze-the hardest part is getting the panels adjusted to the window size. The performance is great and quickly cooled the 500 sq ft room. The auto feature is nice as it will run as needed to maintain the set temperature. The heat feature will also come in handy in the winter...no longer will I need a separate space heater! Overall, this is a quality product and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable cooling and heating solution.

I wish I knew that they no longer support their ACs and your only option is to return the unit to where you purchase from! So if you buy it and bring it all the way to second floor and unpack it and see that it doesn't work! Consider you have to bring the heavy unit down, pack it and return it because they won't support AC repair anymore!

I would definitely buy this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea DUO 12,000 is such a great portable air conditioner, we have not complained once about how hot it is inside the house. This unit is setup in my living room and I could feel the coolness throughout the house. The only complaint I have is that one of the pieces were broken when the product arrived. Other than that, the Midea comes with all the attachments and lots of extra weather stripping. Last but not least, the setup was easy. I did have to look up a video to compete one of the steps but that is because I'm a visual learner. I could have done without watching the video and just following the directions. Definitely recommend to all my family and friends and I will absolutely buy more products from this brand again.

The window assembly for this product is too complicated to install and the installation process is not straightforward for me. I ended up pushing the unit into the closet of the room with a blanket draped over it to keep the dust off of it and I put the assortment of plastic parts that would fit inside a shoebox inside the shoebox for safekeeping. I ended up diagnosing the problem on my old portable air conditioner to what I believe to be an airflow restriction and I purchased a new window installation kit for the old unit and I am going to take another corrective measure this summer to correct that problem with that old unit. I am still holding onto my new Midea unit for when my old portable air conditioner gives out but I sure hope that I will never have to use it any time soon because of how hard it would be for me to put the window installation kit that it came with in the window. I also ordered a WIFI IR emitter for the old portable air conditioner so that I can still control it from anywhere in the states but I can't say that I would recommend this product because of how complicated the window installation kit is. I have enough things in my life to figure out and take care of and this just does not need to be one of them. I am currently very disappointed with this portable air conditioner.
