A/C works great; heater doesn't work in cold weather.

This unit works great as an air conditioner. It's quiet and cools a warm room very quickly. However, I was surprised to learn today that it wouldn't turn on in a room that was 57 F. Upon troubleshooting online, I realized that is a limitation of this unit (it won't work when the outside temperature is lower than 41 degrees F. This information is critical to purchasers and it should be made apparent up front to consumers.

Poor drainage

Runs for a half hour and then shuts off because the tank that holds the water is only 4 cups. You have to empty the water every 15 to 20 minutes. I had to buy a hose and attach a hose to the bottom.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent Air conditioner for when its hot, bad heater

I bought this unit because I have a condo without central air and it gets stuffy and I get hot in my bedroom, I use the fan and air conditioner regularly. However, it has been cold lately and apparently, the unit will not work when it is colder than 45 degrees F outside. So I basically was sitting in an icebox in my bedroom, pretty lame that the heater doesn't work when it's cold outside, I think the coldest was like 37, but was 41 when I woke up and still could not get it to turn on. Also, the water draining is a little cumbersome and I am not even sure which drain plug does what. Also would have been nice if you could have had the drain hose go with the vent to the outside. Smart features are ok, the remote and app sometimes battle out, so you have to power cycle with one or the other to get it to work properly. Also the auto mode is kinda wonky sometimes, it will start up like a jet engine just to turn down in like 15 seconds, a few times I woke up from sleep thinking someones chevy was driving through my window.

Perfect for a she-shed

We have a shed that she turned into her mommy space. It was easy to install and keeps up with the coastal Georgia heat and humidity. Definitely worth it can't recommend it enough specially in the south

Game changing, portable temperature control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though we have air conditioning throughout our house, there are rooms in which we still need a boost, especially in the high heat of spring and summer. Our master bedroom was one of those rooms and this Midea Portable Air Conditioner has been an absolute game changer. Installation was quick and easy (under an hour) and it fit perfectly within the area we had intended it for. It includes every possible accessory to adapt and fit any style and size of window. Though it has a large profile, it is worth it considering how well this works for a unit of this size. Even for a heavy unit, it was easy to maneuver this in place and get it vented to the window. Within mere minutes of turning it on, we could feel icy cold air and within a hour (maybe even less), our room was noticeably cooler and comfortable. We run it on low most of the time and it is very quiet, almost like white noise when we are sleeping. Even on medium or higher though, it is not excessively loud and doesn't rattle or make any annoying noise like other unit we've tried. The remote control took a little bit of learning and trial and error to get it right, but it is a very convenient feature. The unit has lots of great features including a swing mode (basically rotates the fan to spread cool air instead of blowing one direction constantly), a timer, sleep and various other modes, including heat. It has been an incredible value and welcome addition to our home and I cannot recommend it enough!

Keep the room very cool and cold.Design is not to big so will not take a lots of space of the room. Very wonderful design and make the room fancy, bright and look professional. Really recommendation 100% to the buyer .We really love it and enjoy with it a lots.Dont need to use central air to cool the house.Less electricity for the monthly bills.

Amazing!

We have a room in our house that is ALWAYS HOT and this unit has managed to cool it down and keep it cool. It's a little noisy, but nothing unexpected with a portable air conditioning unit. It also serves as a dehumidifier so that's a great aspect too! Love this product and would absolutely recommend it!
