Flimsy plastic parts

While the air conditioner itself is solid, the sliding window adapter parts are poorly made. The adapter that fastens the air conditioner to the window should be strong and sturdy, but all it has are flimsy plastic snaps. If there is even minor movement of the machine, they are liable to break. The adapter broke as I was installing the product. To make matters worse, I have called customer service at least three times to get help replacing this product, but they have either dropped my call or not followed through on my case.

Great AC, not great heat!

I bought this in the summer of this year because I was in desperate need of an air conditioner so I decided I could get one with heat too and that would be great for the cold winters!
Except the heat does not work. It turns on, then it turns off, even when I put the fans beat up to 100%. I have it set for 69° because it's freaking cold, but it keeps turning off in my room is currently 59°. It worked great is an air conditioner and I was very impressed, but the heat does not work sufficiently and I have to use my space heater still. Sad face!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Manufacturing and No Quality Assurance

My experience with this product has been extremely frustrating. When I first unboxed the unit, I immediately noticed that the outlet louver was bent (see attached photo). I requested a replacement, but unfortunately, the replacement had a loose piece of plastic inside the outlet louver (see attached photo), pointing to yet another serious manufacturing flaw. Receiving two consecutive units with obvious defects reflects a troubling lack of quality control. It’s clear these products are not being properly inspected before shipment. I’m deeply disappointed with both the manufacturing standards and the apparent absence of effective quality assurance.

Probably the best air conditioner and worst heater ever

Despite not saying it anywhere, this product won't operate if it's below freezing temps outside. You'll get an abnormal "P9" Cold Weather Protection error if you go through and "check" the device. Upon calling customer service, they informed us that the heater won't heat if it's below 32 degrees outside. The heater won't heat if it's cold outside.... Next they'll invent a light bulb that doesn't work at night. That said the air conditioning portion of the unit is fantastic. Super quiet. I wouldn't actually recommend this but I'm marking it as if I would because they've got to be filtering comments on this.

The cooling works fine. Person upset about no apology, likly dosen't understand he is speaking with a call center that handles calls for multiple brands and different appliances, has no part in making or selling any items, and has no reason to apologize. They are a third party call center.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Cooling, Not So Much Heating!

I fell in love with this unit after my purchase(s). Had no problems with the A/C unit, eventhough temperatures got very high this summer season. However, as for the Heating part, had no issues until yesterday, Jan. 16th, when tempeatures dipped in the 30s. The system actually stopped working! It cut off and I was unable to get it started again. I am so disappointed as I said before. I fell in love with this device, so much so, I purchased another one. I actually have two of them. Yes, I purchased a second one soon after I purchased the first one. I just wish something can be done to rectify this heating issue. Clearly, I have invested a sizable amount in your device. For these reasons, I would not recommend this device.

I would not buy this product again.

The unit works good in the summer, however the heather is worthless in the cold. The blower just shuts down with no error codes to tell you what's wrong. This happened recently with temperatures in the 40's and won't even turn on with temperatures in the 30's outside. We still have central air and heat that works fine for the house, it's just that this one room that faces the north , gets colder than the other rooms thus the reason for the Midea Duo. Well ot doesn't work as advertised. Now we have freezing cold air coming into the room via the Midea Duo ducts coming out of the intake vents on the unit. Very counter productive.

Nice AC but can't adapt

I bought two of them, and the one I have hooked up works great. Cool our room and doesn't wake me up at night.
The other one is where I have a problem. It uses a very non-uniform hose. I was going to set this up one with our sliding door (don't have any other windows that open downstairs). Unfortunately it's been weeks and I can't find any sliding door attachment that will work with the funky hose style this uses. Came on here to see if Midea sold one, but can't find one here either.
So be aware, these won't work with other adapters.
I would recommend this to a friend!
