Cute & Fun Doll with Plenty of Accessories

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Dream Besties are the best playline Barbies out right now, in my opinion. The articulation & amount of fashions & accessories included with these dolls remind me of the quality of Barbie from the past. This doll is especially adorable & comes with a ton of accessories!
This doll has exaggerated features with big blue eyes & pouty pink lips. Her long blonde hair is slightly wavy & very soft. She comes dressed in a cute robe emblazoned with her Barbie B & the cutest bunny slippers ever, complete with bunny tails on the back! My granddaughter couldn't wait to take them off & find another doll to fit into them. The Dream Besties feet are a little larger than other Barbies, which can reduce the pleasure if your children like to redress like my granddaughter does.
This doll is articulated at the knees, elbows & wrists but her joints are a bit stiffer than some other dolls. She doesn't have a swivel waist like the dolls my kids grew up with, which I do think reduces the posability of modern dolls. She can also stand pretty well on her own in her bunny slippers.
I love the theme of this doll & so did my granddaughter as I led her into play with this doll getting ready to go out for a special occasion. The many accessories included with this doll help enhance the theme with the inclusion of curlers, a brush & bows for her hair. There's also makeup & a complete outfit with a shiny pink dress, shoes, & a necklace. To complete the theme, there's a cell phone & selfie stand so the doll can take her pics & share with her besties. My granddaughter & my favorite accessory was the cucumber glasses. She often has spa nights with her mother that includes cucumber slices on the eyes, so we both got a giggle over that accessory. So fun!
Overall, the quality & fun theme for this doll really made it enjoyable to play with her.

Very entertaining for little kids

Cute but expensive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter was quite excited about this new Barbie! She has a different look and is jointed. And while she definitely was a hit, overall, she didn’t overly impress either one of us.
Pro- Cute look.
Jointed for fun poses.
She could hold her makeup brush.
Lots of brushable hair.
Cute shoes.
Cons- No directions. ( how to color the hair or remove the color).
No panties. (Bothered my granddaughter)
No pjs to go under the bathrobe. 😂
Chalk color in hair was very muted.
Overall, a nice enough Barbie but not worth the quite expensive price.

Great theme!

The idea of a hair themed Barbie was perfect and kept my daughter entertained for hours!

Fashion Barbie Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was very excited when she received the Barbie Dream Besties Get Ready Malibu doll. My daughter has a very large Barbie collection, so this Malibu doll was a nice addition. The Barbie Dream Besties are larger dolls compared to the standard Barbies. The Malibu doll my daughter received has many accessories. This posable doll comes wearing a purple robe, bunny slippers, a purple bow headband and a roller in her long blonde hair. It comes with four rollers in total, hair chalk, a comb, little hair bows, hair ties, eye mask, little makeup accessories, cellphone and ringllight stand. After you get Malibu’s hair and makeup done, you can get her dressed in her special outfit. The set comes with a beautiful sparkly pink dress, super high pink heels and a bow necklace. It’s so fun to get Malibu all dressed up. My daughter looked playing with her long hair the most. She spent so much time trying to curl her hair and use the hair chalk. This doll is recommended for kids 4 and up, since it does come with small accessories. This doll was definitely a favorite since my daughter looks anything hair and fashion related. It’s the perfect Barbie!

Super cute set for dress-up play!

The surprises inside the curlers were a fun touch, and they loved using the hair chalk and styling her hair. The clips were a little hard to put on at first, but they still had a great time trying different looks and they get to put the accessories inside them. The robe and sparkly dress are super cute, and all the little accessories made it feel like Barbie was really getting ready. It kept them busy and using their imagination, which is always a win. Overall, a great set for pretend play!

Barbie Bestie Dreams and Get Ready

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised when I first showed this Barbie to my granddaughter. I was worried because this doll is bigger than the average Barbie and may not hold her interest. When we opened up the box, we noticed the doll came with so many fun hair accessories, and two different outfits, one for her morning spa treatment and one fancy dress and heels for out and about. A couple of things my granddaughter was excited about were the bunny slippers, and the fact that she could color Barbie‘s hair! She also loved the rollers. My granddaughter has been spending hours of make believe time with this doll. It was definitely a hit. I can’t wait to see what other accessories Mattel will think of when they come out with additional Barbies of this type.
