Dream Besties Get Ready with Barbie, Mostly a Win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little one has a few Dream Besties Barbie dolls, so I was really excited to be able to get the BARBIE® DREAM BESTIES™ GET READY WITH BARBIE™ Barbie® “Malibu"™ Doll and Accessories set to add to her toy chest. Overall, this one is a good addition, but there are some issues that stand out on this one. I really like that she comes with a full outfit, a dressing robe, and a pair of slippers, and tons of accessories. They all seem to be new so it’s a great addition to other dolls or would be great for a first Dream Bestie doll. It has several small pieces that could be easily lost, but the hair roller opens up and they can be stored inside (I LOVE that!). You get a lot of value for what’s in the box. There’s a few downsides with the set I got. The doll I got has uneven eyes. One side is noticeably bigger than the other, I haven’t seen that with other dolls we have from the line. The doll’s hair also came a bit messy in the box, but it does mean it’s ready for a makeover! The purple bow comes plastic tabbed to the doll’s head. The plastic tab caused a snag on the elastic. Also, the elastic is coming out at both sides. I don’t think the bow will hold up that well to a lot of play. A word of warning to parents, you’ll need to debox this doll for your kids. A lot of her accessories were on the tricky side to remove from the box and I struggled with it (that white necklace almost stayed in the box because I couldn’t get it out). I would recommend getting this set, it’s very cute, but I would suggest picking it out in person just so you can see what you’re getting. *Doll does not come with a stand*

Fun makeover dol

Included were a robe, fun pink dress and shoes, hair color rollers, bows, makeup and cell phone. I loved how many accessories were included with this doll.

She is able to get her ready and style her hair in counless different styles. There is so many accessories and yes some are small and can be lost easily. But i love that the hair rollers are a way to keep them organized and together.

A fun twist on Barbie dolls

She thinks the hair chalk is very fun and likes how easy it is to pose the doll. The unique storage within the hair clips has been fun for her and nice for me to have a place to keep track of the little accessories.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie Dream Bestie Malibu is absolutely adorable. This doll came with a load of accessories. My child’s favorite accessory was the hair chalk. It was a little finicky for little hands but with a little practice they were able to get it. The chalk requires reasonably firm pressure to be applied but has decent payoff and is not very messy. The bunny slippers were personally my favorite accessory. They are just too cute. Malibu has a precious face and 11 points of articulation. Her hips are a little wider than a classic Barbie, so she is not able to fit in some bottoms from the fashion packs. Her party dress is cute and completely hemmed. The robe is hemmed everywhere except the scalloped bottom. Her hair is long and soft, but does tend to easily tangle.It does brush out easily though, with very little shedding. This is great doll set and one of my child’s recent favorites. I highly recommend this set, and may even pick up one for my own Barbie collection.

Cute & Fun Doll with Plenty of Accessories

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Dream Besties are the best playline Barbies out right now, in my opinion. The articulation & amount of fashions & accessories included with these dolls remind me of the quality of Barbie from the past. This doll is especially adorable & comes with a ton of accessories!
This doll has exaggerated features with big blue eyes & pouty pink lips. Her long blonde hair is slightly wavy & very soft. She comes dressed in a cute robe emblazoned with her Barbie B & the cutest bunny slippers ever, complete with bunny tails on the back! My granddaughter couldn't wait to take them off & find another doll to fit into them. The Dream Besties feet are a little larger than other Barbies, which can reduce the pleasure if your children like to redress like my granddaughter does.
This doll is articulated at the knees, elbows & wrists but her joints are a bit stiffer than some other dolls. She doesn't have a swivel waist like the dolls my kids grew up with, which I do think reduces the posability of modern dolls. She can also stand pretty well on her own in her bunny slippers.
I love the theme of this doll & so did my granddaughter as I led her into play with this doll getting ready to go out for a special occasion. The many accessories included with this doll help enhance the theme with the inclusion of curlers, a brush & bows for her hair. There's also makeup & a complete outfit with a shiny pink dress, shoes, & a necklace. To complete the theme, there's a cell phone & selfie stand so the doll can take her pics & share with her besties. My granddaughter & my favorite accessory was the cucumber glasses. She often has spa nights with her mother that includes cucumber slices on the eyes, so we both got a giggle over that accessory. So fun!
Overall, the quality & fun theme for this doll really made it enjoyable to play with her.
