Beautiful, functional, but small flaws

I have had this kettle for about 6 months in the black color. It takes about 5 minutes to heat up a completely full kettle with cool tap water. The exterior does in fact stay touchable when the inside is boiling. While it looks beautiful and functions well, I do have a few of gripes: 1) The digital display does not have an auto-off function. You must manually click and hold the Power button to turn off the display. 2) The digital display is completely smooth/flat and the power button is difficult if not impossible to see in low light when turned off. Having the power button have a slight depression would help me locate it. 3) In general, I've never liked kettles to have a beeping feature (beeps when turned on, beeps when temp is reached, beeps when turned off).
This kettle generates a significant amount of steam, more than any other kettle I've had. I'm assuming this is because it gets hotter than them. You should not keep this kettle underneath something that would be damaged by scalding steam.

Modern Style with Nice Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Style and appearance of this kettle is very modern and slim. I like the black color, double wall body and the touch screen control base unit. However, temperature selection does not cover a good variety of tea selection, for example green/white needs 175F, oolong needs 185F, French press needs 200F, and black tea needs 205F. 30 minutes keep warm feature is excellent if you don’t drink it right away when you are busy cooking or doing something else.

Great, clean product for a home!

My household has been struggling to find a clean product made with solid resources, and we’ve finally found one! All the other kettles we’ve had have smelt like plastic which makes us question what we’re putting in our bodies. With this design, it is conscious towards human health and has a very sleek look. No complaints other than I wish the open button was a bit easier to utilize and that the lid opened a bit wider. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this purchase and can now stop searching for alternatives.
