[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sewing machine is so helpful. It is simple to set up and it is easy to use. There are many stitch options,
so there is a stitch for every need. I love that there is an automatic needle threader because my eyes are not what they used to be. The LED lighting is also nice to have. It really helps to use in rooms that the light isn't great. For some reason I have always had trouble with buttonholes. With this machine there is 4 styles to choose from and the job is done with ease. This machine can be used for a beginner seamstress as well as a seasoned seamstress.

On my 16th birthday she bought me my first singer and I've been obsessed since. In fact, I still have that machine and it still works perfectly! I wanted to try this newer machine simply for it's durability and ease of changing stitches. Wow! It is sooo easy and familiar to use!

My Singer Sew Mate 5400 has never worked right. It jams constantly, C4 error. I have tried everything to fix the problem, watched every video for suggestions, nothing worked. Don't waste your time or money on this poorly manufactured sewing machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible, wouldn't recommend

I bought this machine 7 months ago but didn't use for 4 months. Very disappointed! Haven't used it often, only for easy projects. The machine has problems sewing through 2 pieces of thin broadcloth at times, can't go through 3 pieces. I've broken 8 -10 needles trying. It's makes grinding noises starting to sew and then throughout as wel.... My previous machine was singer which I've had for 47 years and it only now has needed repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
