This is my first full day of using this machine. I just purchased it yesterday. So far I am very happy with it. The manual is easy to understand. It is taking me time to get used to the automatic threader, but I am sure once I do I will love it. Also love the attachment that comes with the machine for quilting. It is a great benefit in helping me keep my seams straight.
I am back to sewing after at least 40 years away from the craft. This machine has made it very easy to do that. The numbered system make it very easy to thread the machine. I like the ease of filling the bobbins. I have sewn several craft projects and like how the machine handles different tensions for fabrics and several layers of fabric. I love the inclusion of so many different stitches. This lends itself to great creativity for my projects. I have use the zipper foot and it worked great in either position. This machine has made my venture back into sewing quite enjoyable.
I love my heavy duty sewing machine. I fast and it sews through thick seams with no problem. I have use this machine to machine piece quilts and have made jean bags. You know how hard it is to sew through layers of jean fabric. I have use the decorative stitches also. I can said I am overall pleased with my machine. I would recommend this machine model for beginners and advance sewers. It also lightweight to take to class.
I've been sewing like crazy ever since I got my new Singer 4452 Heavy Duty! It sews through even thick winter coats and the easy to use pictorial and written instructions got me going fast! Sewing is now a joy and not a chore!
I've only had this machine for a few months, but I absolutely love it! It really can handle anything ~ I made a heavy-duty totebag and the machine had no trouble with even the thickest parts. It's easy to use, runs well, and I've had no thread tension issues (my great-grandma's old Singer, the machine I grew up using, *always* has problems with thread tension). My one complaint is that it sounds a bit like a plane getting ready to take off!
I really like the 4452 for it's stitching. It works well for me because I sew heavy material like denim and fleece which it seems to handle well. Only dislike is the bobbin winder. I had one break so I use another machine to wind my bobbins.
I was disappointed in my machine. My expectations were that it would sew heavier fabrics, and more than one layer. It bunches up the thread when it changes thicknesses. Not what was advertised. I do however like the way it sews regular fabric.
