Not even a year and the machine is already off. Very disappointed...Quality is definitely not this company's priority, at all!!

Poor quality

Was totally excited about the automatic thread option, but the least little thing causes it not to work. Being sold as a “ heavy duty machine” I feel that I should be able to sew over a flat felled seam with ease. But for some reason this thing keeps getting stuck mid stitch. Totally frustrated and over this machine! Guess I’m going back to my old stand by and using the walking foot! Thanks for nothing Singer.

Purchased this machine and I have to get it repaired already. Very disappointed. The sewing needle doesn't lock into position, as I am sewing the needle slides to the left creating an uneven unprofessional seam. Now I have to pay for a repair on a brand new machine. Not good!! Very disappointed.

This date WORST sewing machine EVER!
It sewed well for about an hour and then the "bird nesting" began. Started over multiple times. Then the bobbin holder popped out. This went on & on. Returned and bought a new one. Nope!
The same thing happened again and again. Checked everything out, made sure I was using the right equipment and tension both times.
Returning the second one since it did the same exact thing. It was not a one time defect,, it is the machine sku! Never will I buy another Singer. They are NOT built with the quality they once were. I bought a different machine from a different company and I have been happily sewing ever since!

I am embarrassed to share that both my parents own sewing machines and are master seamstress (mom) and expert sewer (dad). However, neither of them ever taught me or my two sisters (now in our 40s) how to sew, not a stitch. I recently purchased the Singer 4452 directly from the company. Purchasing online from Singer was simple and at a good fair price compared to other venders. The machine is awesome. I live 3,000 miles from family these days. This machine has given me and may parents something else to talk about. In 7 minutes or less, mom had me up and running. Dad is impressed. Also, the Singer instructional videos on their website and YouTube are terrific. I'm running out of fabric to practice on. Luckily, my husband recently lost 50+ pounds and has plenty of shirts to discard. Instant practice fabric, yahoo. I'm enjoying this machine. I highly recommend to all.
