I do general sewing and repairs - curtains, sofa cover, masks. I enjoy sewing and have been doing so since I was a teenager. This machine is extremely easy to use, even for a beginner. I would definitely recommend it to beginners or experienced person that doesn't want to go the computerized route.
I use to sew a bit when I was younger. Now 55 and looking forward to starting to make clothes for my grandkids. Also like all the singer tutorials. Never had back in the day.
Good for heavy-duty sewing but not for precise sewing. I still prefer my old Singer that I inherited from my mom for piecing quilts and making clothes.
I learned to sew on a Singer when I was in jr. high school. At 65, I ordered this machine hoping that some sewing techniques would come back to me. Easy to get acquainted with, easy to start sewing with. Easy to use.
I replaced an older, broken Brother sewing machine with this Singer, and couldn't be happier. It was easy to load the bobbin and thread the machine, and I was sewing in no time at all. I haven't sewn anything in a few years, and my first attempts at masking face masks were successful. I'm moving on next to arm covers for the furniture in my family room. It's good to have an easy to use, sturdy machine in the house once again !
A great machine--very easy to use. I went through the entire manual which was helpful. It plows right through heavyish fabrics. The foot pedal is a bit jumpy, but I will get used to it. I'm making masks for family and friends.
